Grade Configuration Follow-up

 

Thanks for waiting for this follow-up, it has been incredibly busy for all of us, but the subject of 07-08 configuration has been on the list of most every meeting I’ve attended these last two weeks.

 

Questions to consider:

1.      Since our visit to AISD, have you changed or strengthen your thoughts on moving to a K-5 community school configuration for 2007-2008?  How so?

2.      What special programs need to be included at all campuses and grade levels?  What level of sharing can exist and maintain effectiveness?

3.      Can we make a recommendation to the superintendent sooner that originally designed?  Example: July or August?

4.      Given that demographic lines will not be drawn prior to a recommendation and decision, what must we do to gain the support of the community?

5.      Attached is a rough draft of the teacher/staff preference form – please review and provide comment.

Check your calendar for Monday 4-10 @ 3:30 / or / Tuesday  4-11 @ 3:30.  I will take your suggestions through Wednesday afternoon and then set a date and time.
