"I am a
teacher. A teacher is someone who leads.
There is no magic here. I do not walk on water.
I do not part the sea. I just love the
children." |

Welcome
to Tierra Blanca, a TEA rated Recognized campus. We are
a school of diverse and individual students, and dedicated
and compassionate teachers. We base our curriculum on
state mandated TEKS and enrich those requirements with
meaningful literature, useful technology, and actual
experiences. We look at each child individually to help
them succeed in all areas of learning. We also believe
that the parents of our students are very important to the
students' success. We provide many opportunities for
our parents and students to learn and share together, such as
"Moonlight School", assemblies, "Muffins for Mom", "Donuts
for Dad", and field days. The entire staff at Tierra
Blanca believes that if we all work together - parents,
students, and educators - every child can be successful. |

Message From the Principal
Tierra Blanca Primary School provides a
caring and positive environment for students, staff, and parents
to work, learn and play together. Our staff and students
are expected to be at school, arrive on time, and possess the
desire to do their best at all times. Parents are invited
and encouraged to become a partner in their child's learning.
With parent support we believe that all children will attain a
greater level of academic success. We are very proud to say
that we are a part of Tierra Blanca.

About
Our Campus
Tierra Blanca Primary School was built
in 1970. We are fortunate to have 350 exceptional students.
Our student population is made up of 89% Hispanic, 10% Anglo, and
.01% African American.
Parents Are Important
Tierra Blanca maintains an open line of communication to our
parents through several programs. We strive to find every
way we can to provide opportunities for our families, such as
newsletter, parent nights, "Moonlight School", assemblies,
conferences, "Muffins for Mom", "Donuts for Dad", and field days.
We realize that our parents want the very best for their child,
and we do our best to help that happen.
A parent organization very important to
our campus is the (PTO) Parent Teacher Organization-
This organization is designed to show parental support for the
students and teachers. They are responsible for many projects
such as fundraising, volunteer work and teacher appreciation.

encouragement to all.
