The Deaf Smith County Youth Home provides non-secure residential services for post-adjudicated and pre-adjudicated children ages 10 to 17 of Deaf Smith County. Children will remain within the facility until such time as suitable placements  can be made for them; or until such a time as they can be released and returned to their parent's or guardian's care. Residents are placed in a short, intermediate, or long term program and work on a level system.

Many things we need can wait, the child cannot. Now is the time his bones are being formed, his blood is being made, his mind is being developed. To him we cannot say tomorrow, his name is today.
