I had the privilege of beginning my teaching career in the Fall of 1972 as a special education teacher for students with Language and Learning Disabilities ( which is now known as children with Specific Learning Disabilities). Myself and another teacher were the first LLD teachers hired by the district. That same fall, I meet and married Dick Hill. We have three children, 8 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. I received my Masters in the Spring of 1975 and then was employed as a educational diagnostician for four years. Following those four years, I stayed home with my children for eight years then was employed by a private Christian school as a teacher for four years and then administrator for eight years. In 1999, I returned to HISD as an educational diagnostician.
