Digital Citizenship
Staff,
Below you will find the Digital Citizenship lessons for each grade level. Digital Citizenship needs to be taught the first week and a half of school (August 26 -September 4) The lessons will need to be taught during this designated week. Each lesson below will take about 20-30 minutes to complete. The elementary lessons are also avaliable in Spanish. All lessons come from Common Sense Education and you must create an account with Common Sense Education in order to access the full lesson (please see the YouTube video). Each lesson comes with a lesson plan that includes a script so you know exactly what to say if you struggle with the content.
After you teach a lesson, please fill out the form linked below. This documentation is required, so that we know what has been taught. Teaching digital citizenship lessons to our students is a requirement for several of our district funding sources and this documentation is important for those funding applications.
Note: You must be logged into your Hereford ISD account in order to access the form.
Sincerely,
The Curriculum Team
