Pegasus
Pegasus, our elementary gifted program, began in 1971. The program is housed at Northwest Elementary School and services students from all four public elementary campuses as well as St. Anthony's Catholic School in Hereford. Students are provided with the opportunity to interact with gifted students from across Hereford under the guidance of a gifted specialist teacher. Students participate in a variety of activities designed to target higher order thinking skills through research, creative play, art, STEAM, and technology skills. Students are bused from their home campuses to Northwest for Pegasus and return to their home campus before the end of the day.
