DR. RAMON GARZA

Dr. Garza is a proud 1980 graduate of Hebbronville High School who attended the University of Texas at Austin until 1983, where he then transferred to Texas A&I University. He earned his Bachelor's degree in 1987, his Master's degree in 1994, and his Doctorate Degree in 2003. Dr. Garza was a band director for 20 years before spending time as an assistant principal and principal for 14 years. For the past four years, Dr. Garza has worked as the Director of Federal Programs for Hereford ISD and is now moving over to lead the HCAL/DAEP/Daycare programs.

He has been a Region Music Chair, a District UIL Coordinator, an Honor Society Sponsor, and even a Student Council Sponsor. Dr. Garza has had bands reach the UIL State Marching Contest, the ATSSB OPS State Level, and the TMEA Honor Band Finals. As a sponsor and coordinator, his groups have earned the TSSP State Student Council Sweepstakes multiple times and were even 8-time UIL District Champions in Academics.
