As the new school year begins, our Herd Athletes are already hitting the ground running and competing at a high level across multiple sports.
Tennis: Our Herd Tennis team has been putting in work with early tournaments and is now diving into district play. We faced a tough match against Canyon but rebounded with a win over Pampa. The team looks sharp and ready to push forward as district competition heats up.
Volleyball: Our Lady Herd just returned from the Mansfield Tournament, where they faced some top-tier competition. They’re back in the gym, getting ready to hit the road again this week for the Farmersville Tournament. The growth and determination this team shows are setting them up for an exciting season.
Football: Last Friday, we traveled to Andrews for a scrimmage against the Mustangs. The team looked strong and gained valuable experience that’s going to set us up well as we head into the season. This week, we’re excited to host Caprock at home on Thursday night for our final scrimmage before the season officially kicks off—come out and support the Herd!
Cross Country: Our Cross Country athletes are gearing up for their first meets soon. They’ve been putting in the miles, and we’re excited to see them perform as the season gets underway.
Golf: The Herd Golf team has been taking full advantage of the great weather as they prepare to start their season in early September. They’re ready to tee off and make their mark on the course.
With so much happening in Hereford Athletics, there’s a lot to be excited about. Our athletes are putting in the work and representing Hereford with pride, and we can’t wait to see what this season brings.
