The Hereford High School boys track team faced tough, misty conditions during Thursday’s finals, but their grit and determination were on full display. Coaches praised the team’s effort, noting the heart each athlete showed in competition.
A standout moment came from the 1600m Relay team, who overcame not one but two injuries to qualify for the Area Meet—an inspiring example of resilience and teamwork.
Senior Izak Dominguez turned heads in the 110m Hurdles with an outstanding time of 14.35, which coaches believe may be a new school record. He was also on track for a personal record and a 1st place finish in the 300m Hurdles before a late-race fall cut his run short.
The Area Meet will be held Thursday, April 10, in Andrews, Texas.
