Tradition has always been an important part of Lady Whiteface Volleyball, and last week, that tradition came full circle as former LWVB player Darcy Dodd returned to Hereford to lead a team camp.
Now coaching at the collegiate level, Dodd had the opportunity to bring her experience back home and share it with the next generation of Lady Whiteface athletes. She was joined by Emily, and together they spent the week working with players, sharing their knowledge of the game and helping the team continue preparing for the season ahead.
For Hereford Athletics, the camp represented more than an opportunity to improve on the volleyball court. It was another example of former Hereford athletes returning to invest in the programs and community that helped shape them.
That connection is especially meaningful for Lady Whiteface Volleyball this season. The program is now led by Head Coach Alyssa Lopez, herself a former Lady Whiteface standout who will take the reins of the varsity program.
With Lopez leading LWVB and former players like Dodd returning to share their experience, the program continues to connect its past with its future.
Hereford Athletics would like to thank Darcy and Emily for the time, energy, and knowledge they invested in our Lady Whiteface athletes.
Those Before Us Built It. This Team Defends It.
