Reminder: No school for students tomorrow, January 9, 2026, as our staff takes part in a staff development day.

That means it is a perfect day to come support the 25th Annual Hereford Rumble. Join us at the varsity gym and cheer on our wrestling teams!

Good news during the break! 🎉
We’re excited to share a little update from the WOWW competition. There were 204 entries submitted from eight different schools, and Hereford brought home the most winners! Each of our winners received a certificate and $100 in cash. Adda Flores won People's Choice Award! We’re so proud of our students and their hard work paying off in a big way!

Hereford ISD is needing your input. We are beginning conversations about a potential new high school and want to hear from our community.

This does NOT mean we are currently going out for a bond. We are NOT deciding details such as location or design at this time. These conversations are simply to help us understand community interest and determine what steps may be needed moving forward.

Please take a moment to fill out the survey linked below. All responses are completely anonymous. Thank you for helping us plan for the future of Hereford ISD.

At last night’s board meeting, we had the honor of recognizing some truly outstanding students. Hereford FFA gave wonderful presentations and we celebrated their district champions. We also honored the winners of the Annual Superintendent Card Competition. FCCLA students Dylan Dominguez and Angeline Trevino shared an informative and heartfelt presentation on Childhood Cancer, and HHS Robotics impressed us by showcasing their robot and sharing more about their program. We are so proud of the talent, leadership, and dedication of our students!

The VATRE would help us continue funding our already successful Career and Technical Education programs and even open the door for new opportunities.

That means:
🔧 More program options for students to explore careers early
🎓 More industry certifications and licenses before graduation
💼 More hands-on experiences that prepare students for real-world jobs
🤝 More connections with employers, colleges, and professionals

CTE changes lives and with the VATRE, we can keep growing these life-changing programs that give students a head start on their futures.

The VATRE would help Hereford ISD continue providing unique learning opportunities for our students. Programs like our Student Media Team, Herd Round Up After School Program, and resources like our Daycare rely on district funding to operate at their best.

With this support, we can continue to fully fund these programs, give students the experiences they deserve, and provide the community with valuable resources that make our schools stronger.
