We would like to congratulate the Practicum 2 Senior Class for their hard work and dedication in passing their national exams to become Certified Phlebotomists!

These seniors already earned their Certified Nursing Assistant certifications last year and are now graduating with TWO certifications in the medical field! What an incredible accomplishment and a true testament to their commitment, perseverance, and passion for healthcare.

We would also like to congratulate our Practicum 1 students for passing their state exams and earning their Certified Nursing Assistant certifications. Next stop… senior year! 🎓🩺

We are so proud of all of these students and the amazing work they are doing to prepare for successful futures in the medical field. Go HERD!

At this month’s Board Meeting, we had the opportunity to celebrate some incredible Hereford High School students 🎉🤍

We enjoyed a wonderful performance from the HHS Choir. That performance will be shared soon!

We also recognized our award winning HHS Student Council students, as well as our SkillsUSA state competitors in welding, cosmetology, health sciences, and law enforcement .

We are so proud of these students for representing Hereford ISD with excellence both in and out of the classroom 🙌✨

Big win today! 🏆 Current Events and Social Studies both took 1st place at the regional competition. Social Studies swept the top four spots, and Current Events claimed the top two! Both teams are state-bound in just a couple of weeks! Go Herd!!

If you are 65+ and have your exemptions in place, good news! If the bond passes, your school taxes will not increase because of the tax ceiling protections set by the state. Also, make sure your homestead exemption is on file, as it increased to $200,000 last year. Free Community Health Fair!

Join us on May 2nd at Dameron Park for a free Community Health Fair open to all community members!

There will be lots of booths, helpful resources, and information focused on health and wellness. This is a great opportunity to connect with local organizations and services at no cost.

Celebrate Earth Day by planting YOUR VERY OWN flowers and vegetables! This week Herd Round Up is decorating pots, planting seeds of all kinds and starting to grow their own plants! Enroll today and stay after school any day this week! Call the school or check your email for enrollment forms!

School vouchers, also known as education savings accounts, are funded through a separate state program and are not paid for through local property tax dollars collected for Hereford ISD. Local tax dollars generated in our community remain tied to supporting our local schools.

While state policy can impact education funding discussions, our community should not be alarmed by claims that vouchers will drain local resources. Hereford ISD will continue serving students and supporting staff.

The Annual SHAC 5K is Coming Up!

This year, we’re adding a more competitive twist! The 5K will be timed, with race medals and winner medals awarded.

Registration is $25, which includes a t-shirt, and all proceeds benefit Hereford’s Snack Pak 4 Kids.

It’s that time of year! The SHAC Family 5K and Health Fair is coming up on Saturday, May 2nd. This is always a great event for our community, and we’re excited for another year!

We can’t let Assistant Principal Week come to an end without recognizing the incredible work our assistant principals do every single day. Thank you for your leadership, dedication, and the countless ways you support our students, staff, and campuses. We appreciate you!

Our Life Skills students from HPA and HHS had a great time on their field trip to the Deaf Smith County AgriLife Center! They learned how to make desserts, sandwiches, and wraps while gaining valuable hands-on experience. It was a fun and engaging day, and they absolutely loved it! Thank you to everyone who helped out at this fun learning event!
