Ella Packer, a freshman at HHS, auditioned for, and made the TMEA All-State Sinfonietta Orchestra! She made 110th chair, violin. Her concert will be at the TMEA convention, in San Antonio, in February!

At tonight's monthly board meeting, we recognized our amazing principals for National Principal Month! These individuals dedicate their time and effort into educating our students every single day. It's the start of Red Ribbon Week! Red Ribbon Week is a campaign that raises awareness of the dangers of drugs, alcohol, tobacco, smoking, and violence. Avery Detten of the Hereford FFA chapter in Hereford, Texas, has been named a national finalist this year for the Agricultural Communications Agricultural Proficiency Award. Only four FFA members nationwide are selected as national finalists in each agricultural proficiency award area. Avery graduated from HHS last year and is now attending Texas A&M University.
Avery completed an interview round in September and will be recognized on stage on Thursday, October 24 at the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN where the winner will be announced.
